UPDATE, Pictures, and more

Wow, it is definitely time for an update. Well, We will be starting our 3rd FULL week of school after the long weekend. I guess it's not really a full week since we have Monday off (but who's complaining)? I have a GREAT group of kids this year! They are definitely a little piece of heaven after last year. Not that last years kids were ALL bad but they were definitely a hard group. Much hallway talk has gone on this year about how these kids are much better behaved! So, only 33 weeks to go :)



Bailey will be 8 months in 8 days!!!! She ate her first hot dog Thursday night. Here is a picture of her last night, eating noodles. She had just had a bath so I put her in her bath robe because I didn't want to risk getting another outfit dirty!

And... here are some pictures daddy took last night of our little angel! We really don't know what we'd do without her! Isn't she precious? (The correct answer is YES). :)

I love 8th graders!

Well, I have officially been in school for 3 days now. This is my 3rd year teaching 8th grade and I love it! My kids are great (though we are still in the "honeymoon" period).

Bailey has been staying with grandma while Zach and I are at work. She loves her so much that she even started crying for her when I put her in her carseat this afternoon. Sometimes, it's hard to let your parents or you in-laws care for and love your child because you are afraid that they will love them more than they love you but... I have been SO blessed to have Zach's mom keeping Bailey and I am SO thankful that Bailey loves her so much. It is a HUGE blessing that I NEVER have to worry about her safety, or well-being. She is being taken care of and I'm so thankful for that.

Bailey is trying to crawl!!!! YEAH Finally!! I'm glad she is learning b/c she will be so excited when she can go places on her own. Anyway, I'll post more about school soon. I'm tired today.

FINALLY FINISHED

Time for School... Almost

We've spent the last 2 days working on my classroom. (Pictures coming soon). Anyway, it's been a HARD task. We got all new literature books this year and each teacher was allowed one novel per literature book. Although that is OOBER exciting, unloading all of the boxes was quite hard. Thank you to my AWESOME, WONDERFUL, LOVING husband (who also had to change a flat tire as we were leaving the school today) for helping me unload all of them! My back is KILLING me and my feet hurt but, my classroom is beautiful! Zach helped me move my desk around and my computer to a new wall. (I don't like people just coming to my desk and seeing all of my e-mails so we moved the computer around so that it's not visible to any of my "nosy" students). I met several of my kiddos today. Since I teach at an 8th grade center it's fun to see the kids coming in because they think they are HOT STUFF now that they are in 8th grade. I love my job! I'm actually starting to get excited about school starting.
